HCMC market watchdog tests cosmetics
Ho Chi Minh City’s market watchdog Wednesday continued testing a large amount of out-of-date cosmetics confiscated from a local company on Tuesday.

Most of the cosmetics were imported from Malaysia and Indonesia and expired in 2006 and 2007, according to the Market Management Office 2A under the HCMC Market Management Bureau.

So far, the agency has tested some 3,500 cartons of cosmetics, including shower cream, soap and skin-care cream.

The products were confiscated from Nhan Loc Trading and Manufacturing Ltd. Co. in District 5, Nguyen Tien Dung, deputy head of the office said.
