$1.5 million goes to help Vietnamese study in US
The American Education Group has announced a list of 36 local students who will receive financial aid and scholarships worth more than US$1.5 million in total to study at American high schools and universities.

The list announced Monday included one Davis Scholar who will study at the Lawrenceville School and one World Scholar set to study at the University of Pennsylvania, the group (AEG Vietnam) said.

The aid recipients will begin their studies in the US this fall for the 2008-2009 school year.

AEG said the group had helped match students with schools for over 12 years and has supported more than 600 Vietnamese students in their efforts to study in the US

More Vietnamese students are studying in the US than ever before and the number is expected to increase.
