The performance will take place at 10 a.m. at the Ho Chi Minh
City Conservatory of Music on September 12.
Musicians from Meiji University Mandolin Club will perform traditional songs of both countries on the dan bau (monochord), dan da (lithophone) and the mandolin.
Also, a Japanese singer will perform Diem Xua by late composer Trinh Cong Son, who has a large fan base in Japan.
The Japanese artists will perform the following day at the Ben Thanh Theater in District 1.
The Meiji University Mandolin Club with 60 members was established in 1923, and has performed internationally, including in China and the US.
