Dutch jazz band to play in Vietnam this week
Saxophonist and composer Tineke Postma, a member of Dutch modern jazz quartet, will perform in Hanoi and HCMC
Modern jazz lovers will have a chance to enjoy the rapturous performances of the Dutch Tineke Postma Group in Hanoi today and on December 6 in Ho Chi Minh City, the Royal Netherlands Embassy said in a statement.

The quartet, including saxophonist and composer Tineke Postma, plays compositions that can be characterized as experimental modern jazz.

The group has received critical acclaim for their melodic tunes and energetic musical interplay between members.

Postma graduated with honors from the Conservatory of Amsterdam, where she currently teaches. In 2006, she received the prestigious French “MIDEM International Jazz Revelation of the Year” award.

Since 2003, the Tineke Postma Group has performed at various international events like the North Sea Jazz Festival (the Netherlands), Yokohama Jazz Festival (Japan), Java Jazz Festival (Indonesia) and Middelheim Festival (Belgium).

Their performance in Vietnam this week is part of the European Music Festival organized by the Delegation of the European Commission in Hanoi.
