House members seek Thanh Nien’s opinion on press law
A National Assembly (NA) working group met with Thanh Nien executives Wednesday to seek information about press law compliance and proposals for future changes.

Information from newspapers nationwide will be collated by the working group, from the National Assembly’s Committee for Culture, Education, Youth, Teenagers and Children into a submission for the fourth session of the National Assembly’s 12th term, planned to convene late this year.

Thanh Nien’s deputy editors-in-chief Dang Thanh Tinh and Nguyen Quang Thong proposed that amendments should clarify the rights and responsibilities of press organizations, their leaders and reporters.

The delegation recorded Thanh Nien’s proposals and praised the newspaper for its content as well as its annual social activities.
