The group met with young Thanh Nien staff and shared some songs.
Earlier they had worked on a series of charity projects including building three charity houses in the Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre.
“Some said they had never seen such poverty before,” Pham Thuy Tien, deputy head of the International Youth Club which helped organize the trip said.
“Though the weather was hot and the work was hard, we felt we became one with the people of Ben Tre,” said the group in a letter read at Saturday’s meeting.
Every year, the International Youth Club, which is part of the Vietnam Youth Federation, works with foreign partners to bring international volunteers here.
