Tons of oil leaking from ship wreck
Much of the more than 100 tons of oil onboard a Panamanian ship that crashed into rocks off central Vietnam Thursday has leaked into the sea and will likely damage aquamarine life, fish farms and beaches, officials said.

The stern of the Golden Star cargo vessel, whose 23 crew members were all rescued by local soldiers and fishermen after the accident, was in flames Sunday, local agencies in Binh Dinh Province said.

Officials said the vessel’s hull was cracked and the ship was sinking fast.

Golden Star was en route to China from Ho Chi Minh City when the accident occurred as it tried to dock at the central port town of Quy Nhon to take on more goods.
