Poor households jump nearly 40 pct due to natural disasters

Poverty has specifically plagued northeastern, northwestern, north-central, south-central coastal and Central Highlands regions.

Local administrations and central agencies have provided affected individuals in those areas with 32,300 tons of food and more than VND10 billion (US$585,000) in aid thus far this year.
