HCMC athletes defend beach volleyball title
Ho Chi Minh City males and females Sunday took the top honors in the 2008 Vietnam National Beach Volleyball Championship at Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Binh Cultural and Sports Center.

HCMC female players Phan Thi Cam Hong and Huynh Do Hong Loan won the women’s competition for a second year in a row, coming from a set down in the final to take a 20-22, 22-20, 15-11 win over Truong Thi Yen and Nguyen Thi Mai from Hai Phong City.

In the men’s competition, the finalists were all HCMC players, with the more experienced Cao Son and Minh Thien taking an easy 21-16, 21- 13 win over Huu Tan and Anh Tuan to defend their title.
