Cold spell in north to last two more days
The spell of frosty weather in northern Vietnam is forecast to continue for two more days, director of the National Center for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting (NCHMF) Bui Minh Tang said Wednesday.

For the next two days, the average temperature in the north will range between 80C and 100C.

In Lao Cai Province it may fall below 50C in Sapa and 80C in Bac Ha , while in Lang Son Province it should fall below 70C.

The cold weather is caused by a tropical depression in the East Sea, which at 1 p.m.

Wednesday was at 6.4 and 7.4 degrees north latitude and 108 and 109 degrees east longitude, according to the NCHMF.

Winds are averaging 27 miles per hour at the center of the tropical depression.
