Wednesday at 16:30 the depression was located between 10.50 north latitude; 115.50 east longitude in the area north of the Spratly Archipelago.
Strong winds at the center of the depression are measuring just below 6 on the Beaufort scale, which is between 25 and 31 miles per hour.
The depression is predicted to move west at a rate of 9 to 13 miles per hour.
Due to the tropical depression and monsoons from the northeast, the Spratly Archipelago and the central coast may expect winds of six to seven on the Beaufort scale and rough seas.
Heavy to medium rainfall was experienced on the central and southern coast last night.
A European Meteorological Agency also showed that from Friday to Sunday the weather in southern Vietnam would deteriorate with strong winds and heavy rains coming across from the ocean.
