Every year for International Children’s Day (June 1), Saigontourist Holding Company’s hotels and tourist parks in Ho Chi Minh City offer food and entertainment programs for children.
This year, the Binh Quoi 1 Tourist Park (1147 Binh Quoi Street, Binh Thanh District. Tel: 556 5891) has a fair in a “Reclaiming the Southern Land” buffet with more than 70 dishes from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Tickets are VND130,000 (US$8.12) per adult and VND90,000 (US$5.62) per child.
The Saigon Restaurant Ship (Gate 3, Bach Dang Quay, District 1. Tel: 8230393) will have a “Relaxing on Saigon River” buffet with more than 40 dishes, as well as music, circus and magic shows, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Tickets are VND129,000 ($8.06) per adult and VND89,000 ($5.56) per child.
Van Thanh Tourist Park (48/10 Dien Bien Phu Street, Binh Thanh District. Tel: 512 3026) will have more than 30 dishes in its “Childhood June 1” buffet at 4 p.m. on May 30.
The program includes folk games, entertainment and gifts for children.
Ticket prices are VND150,000 ($9.38) per adult and VND100,000 ($6.25) per child.
First Hotel (18 Hoang Viet Street, Tan Binh District. Tel: 844 1199), with its June 1 “Bear Merino’s House” buffet, will be accompanied by a variety show, games and free cakes, ice cream and soft drinks.
Que Huong 1 Hotel, or Liberty 1 Hotel (49 Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, District 3. Tel: 829 4227), will have a “Children’s Festival” buffet with more than 35 dishes, circus shows and games.
At lunch the buffet is VND99,000 ($6.19) per adult and VND79,000 ($4.94) per child and at dinner it’s VND199,000 ($12.44) per adult and VND99,000 ($6.19) per child.
Dong Khanh Hotel (02 Tran Hung Dao B Street, District 5. Tel: 923 6404) will serve selected dishes and host games, as well as a singing competition for children.
Tickets are VND159,000 ($9.94) per adult and VND59,000 ($3.69) per child.
