A stroll through the villages and orchards surrounding Lai Thieu Town and communes in Thuan An District could only be described as quiet and peaceful.
Areas away from the main roads are virtually untouched and it’s easy to spend a whole day wandering around various paths from village to village.
The orchards span some 1,200 hectares in An Son, An Thanh, Binh Nham and Hung Dinh communes along Road 745 from the Binh Nham Bridge near the Cau Ngan area (about 1.5 km from Lai Thieu Town) to An Thanh Commune.
There are countless secluded pathways in the area.
Fruit, wild flowers and old houses dot the natural lanes and corridors.
If you have a bike, riding though the area is very relaxing and serene.
Walk your day away in Thuan An’s labyrinthine orchards and don’t forget to pick up some local fruit on your way home – it’s sure to be juicier, sweeter and fresher than anything you’ll find at a Ho Chi Minh City market.
