| Ba Na Meeting Tourism Festival, from gongs to kites

Da Nang central city will host a festival at the Ba Na-Suoi Mo resort and adjacent areas in mid-July, considering it an important event to promote the city's tourism.

The Ba Na Meeting 2006 Tourism Festival, set to take place from
July 14-17, aims to publicize Da Nang, call for tourism investment,
boost socio-economic growth in the city's western area, and develop
eco-tourism.
The program will include a festive night of gongs by the Cotu ethnic
minority group, the fifth Ba Na Tennis Open Tournament, and artistic
photo exhibition "Da Nang - Land and People".
The event will also feature a food festival, folk games, kite flying
demonstration, and launch of trekking tours to many mountain regions
in Da Nang.
The festival Organizing Committee has coordinated with travel companies
and businesses to prepare for the festival.
For instance, the cuisine programs will be held with Ba Na Tourism
Center, Ba Na Bynight, Le Nim Private Enterprise, Phu Gia Restaurant
and Suoi Luong Tourism Park.
Kite performances will be co-organized by Hue Kite Club, while
trekking tours will be held with Cat Tien Ltd. and Suoi Luong Tourism
Park.
Visitors will have a chance to discover Nui Chua Mountain, Cau
Vong fall, Debay bridge, and the eco-tourism park of Tho Yen in
Hoa Bac district.
The Organizing Committee said the 2006 Ba Na Meeting Festival will
be more professional with wider scope and hoped it would lure more
interested investors to tap the potentials of the Ba Na Resort.
